About the Role
We need a Senior Backend Engineer to architect and build the server-side foundations of our client products. You will work on complex distributed systems, design microservice architectures, and ensure our APIs are fast, reliable, and secure. You will be working in a small team where your decisions have a direct impact on the product.
What You'll Do
- Design and implement scalable microservice architectures
- Build and maintain RESTful and GraphQL APIs
- Optimize database queries and schema design
- Implement caching strategies with Redis
- Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines
- Write documentation for APIs and system design
- Participate in architecture reviews
- Mentor junior engineers on best practices
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years backend development experience
- Deep expertise in Node.js — NestJS preferred
- Strong SQL and NoSQL database skills
- Experience with Redis, message queues, or event-driven systems
- AWS deployment experience (EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda)
- Experience with Docker and containerization
- TypeScript proficiency
- Understanding of security best practices
Nice to Have
